Calculator questions

Can't find yours? Ask our team.

How is APR different from an interest rate?

APR includes the interest rate plus certain fees, expressed as a yearly rate. It lets you compare loans with different fees and lengths on the same scale.

Are these calculators accurate?

They use standard formulas, but real loans can round differently, charge extra fees or change rates. Always check the lender's disclosures.

Do you store what I enter?

No. The calculators run entirely in your browser and nothing you type is sent to us or anyone else.

Why does a short loan with a small fee have such a high APR?

APR annualizes the cost. A $15 fee on a 14-day $100 loan repeats about 26 times in a year, which works out to roughly 391%.
